New Barre Class

You are invited to an exciting new stretch and barre class being offered by our staff member, Liv. This new MAC Body class will be focused on bringing together the basics of ballet, dance and Pilates.

Liv’s Barre Class is being offered on Thursday afternoons, 3:00 – 4:00. The cost of the class is $20, or a package of 5 for $80.

Hoping you’re as excited as we are to experience the lengthening and toning results that dancers have been getting through this work for years.  See you at the barre!

Studio Closed Labor Day

We hope you’ve all had an amazing summer! Please note that the studio will be closed on Monday September 7th, 2015 for the Labor Day Holiday.

Looking forward to an awesome Fall!

We have a new name!

We are delighted to announce that we are changing our name. As of today, July 24, 2015, the studio will be known as MAC Body Conditioning.

Ever mindful of the great tradition of excellence established by master teacher and founder, Julian Littleford, we make this change as a natural part of the evolution of our ownership of the studio. Julian left a teaching legacy that we have been honored to continue. We move forward with dedication to build our own tradition of excellence upon this foundation.

We are also thrilled to welcome back three outstanding instructors, all trained and certified through the JLBC Teacher Training Program, who will offer their exceptional talents and enhance our already stellar training staff. They are Jessica Reed-Cancel, Ginny Quick (nee Kaufman) and Suzanne Wise.

Please expect very little disruption as a result of this name change. There is now a new email address, info@macbodyconditioning.com, and new web domain, www.macbodyconditioning.com. The studio’s phone number and MBO scheduling program remain unchanged.

As always, we at MAC Body Conditioning will strive to serve you with the same devotion and quality as we have since day one of our ownership.

To all of our wonderful clients, thank you for your continued patronage and loyalty.

Cheers,

Dani & David Sardi and the entire MACBC team

JDB Construction update

THE WORK GOES ON:

Construction of the Jimmy Durante Boulevard South Streetscape project will require full road closures of Northbound Jimmy Durante Boulevard from Camino del Mar (merge) to San Dieguito Drive from Monday, March 23rd through Friday, March 27th, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Northbound vehicles and bicycles will be diverted around the Jimmy Durante Boulevard closure by taking Camino del Mar north to Via de la Valle east. Emergency response vehicles will be permitted access through the closures. Access to David Way, Heather Lane, Christie Lane, West Luzon Avenue, and Jimmy Durante Boulevard for residents will be permitted from Camino del Mar, just north of Seaview Avenue. To gain access, residents should identify themselves with City-supplied notices to the traffic flagmen. Residents are requested to minimize trips.

Southbound Jimmy Durante Boulevard traffic will experience periodic detours controlled by radio-equipped traffic control personnel, stationed at both ends of the project, throughout the week.

San Diego Gas and Electric work will allow access to Seaview Avenue from northbound Camino del Mar, however, access to Camino del Mar from Seaview Avenue will require a detour via Bellaire Street, Serpentine Drive, Luneta Drive, and 15th Street.

Please follow the posted detour routes and observe all warning devices and traffic controls for the impending work and reminding all to “Slow for the Cone Zone”. If you have any questions regarding this notice, or you note a safety concern, contact the City of Del Mar’s Public Works Department at 858-755-3294 or GroupPublicWorks@delmar.ca.us. Please visit the City’s Construction and Traffic Updates page for the latest updates. Thank you for your patience during this process.

March Update

Dear JLBC clients,

We are thrilled to have completed our first two months of operation. Thank you for your continued support and faithful attendance. It’s been a pleasure being back in the studio, training all of you and seeing the great strides that you are making. We appreciate any and all feedback as we strive to provide the very best Pilates in San Diego.

Please note some new changes happening now and in the days to come.

We are working on updated versions of our website and Facebook page. Please check them out and “like” us on Facebook.

The MBO scheduling website has been upgraded and now is able to accept credit cards payments at the time of booking.

Class schedule changes are coming soon. As of March 16th, we are switching to classes being offered on the half-hour instead of every twenty minutes. This will allow for less interruption and turnover during each class session.

Look for the new Advanced Reformer class for those of you who would like to step it up a notch.

It’s going to be an awesome Spring!

JANUARY UPDATE

Danielle and David Sardi are happy and proud to be the new owners of JLBC! We look forward to reconnecting with all of you faithful clients and promise to continue to provide the excellent service and workouts that you have come to expect and appreciate over the last two decades.

We thank you for your patience as we transition the ownership of the studio including the conversion of the MindBody Online web site. We are working hard to resolve the small glitches that have occurred and should be fully operational in short order. Currently you can continue to schedule your Pilates sessions on the MBO but the site is unable to accept payment at this time. Payment can be made at the studio via check or in a few days when the MBO is back to full operation.

There will also be schedule changes to Thursday Jan 8, 2015 and Saturday January 10, 2015. The studio will be closed on Thursday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and all day Saturday for maintenance, refurbishment and tune-up of all the equipment. We will open on Thursday at 6:00am and be offering available hours on Sunday January 11 from 8:00AM to 12:00PM for those people who are unable to reschedule during other normal operating hours.

Looking forward to seeing you all!

May Update

Take Each Day As It Comes
As I try to balance the studio and family, I find that some deadlines are more flexible than others; and that monthly newsletters are best targeted to go out “near” the first of each month as opposed to “on.” My motto at present is ” take each day at a time.” and I encourage everyone to use your time with us at JLBC to breathe deeply and use each motion toget centered for the day.

I’m also excited to share some of the major accomplishments by clients and members of our team.  I want to give a huge shout out to our dear and hard core teacher, Amy Reese, who won the 3rd place medal in her category in the Sea Otter Classic mountain bike race in Monterey, CA.

I also want to give a shout out to our dedicated and cherished client, Ladan Farhoomond completed the LJ Half Marathon!

May is a special month for me. Besides the personal highlights it holds for me, it is also the month we celebrate mothers. So to all the mothers we know, whether biological or  “just like a mom,” I wish the deep joy and beauty in knowing that the work you put into raising children, comforting families, holding your world up is noticed and deeply and humbly appreciated.

New Faces!

We have a couple of new faces around the studio!

Please welcome Carly Anderson. Carly is a senior at High Tech High and interning with us for several weeks Carly will be heading east in the fall to start college at Northeastern where she plans to study Physical Therapy.

And many of you have already met the newest member of the Mead/Littleford family, Leo!

Leo is Carol’s buddy on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and is quickly learning the dos and don’ts of being a good studio dog (including acting as a stability ball for the hard-working Michelle).  We appreciate your patience and support through the transition.

We’re Hosting a Trunk Show!

Kaneta and her line, Mia Brazilia, will be at the studio on Saturday, My 24th 9AM – 12:30PM.

Many of you have commented on my bamboo cotton workout pants – now you have a chance to grab a pair for yourself!

Refreshments will be served as you browse through workout and casual wear.  Feel free to bring a friend –  Carol will be available to give introductory workouts while you try your luck for some great raffle prizes!

Let the ones you love know and feel it!

My very best to you all.

~ Carol
